The Asymptote

A Design for Civilizational Renewal

The Book Description

We live in an age of overlapping crises: political deadlock, technological disruption, and a growing sense that our institutions were not built for the problems we now face. Piecemeal fixes no longer work because the system itself is not designed for renewal.

The Asymptote proposes a different path. Drawing on systems thinking, governance design, and the architecture of adaptive institutions, this book offers a coherent framework for civilizational renewal—not through revolution or nostalgia, but through deliberate redesign. It answers the question: What would a resilient, self-correcting society actually look like?

This is not a manifesto. It is a design for one.

About the Author

John Mills is a systems engineer and entrepreneur who has spent three decades designing cybernetic systems for the automotive and medical device industries.
